Architectonics
While the GOLEM pattern is the key to a computational explanation of the brains activities, the TDE is more helpful in architectonics, ie mapping functions to neuroanatomic locations. Figure C.1 below depicts the unambiguous mapping between the four neuroanatomic levels (0,1,2 &3) of the GOLEM and the three fractal scales of the TDE. Specifically-
(i) at level-3 there is one global TDE
(ii) at level-2 there are four TDE's, corresponding to global versions of the T, P, L, and F lobes.
(iii) at level-1 there are sixteen TDE's
(iv) level-0 is not drawn in the TDE view- it is a way of depicting instincts within the GOLEM.
The figure below resolves these complex relationships into their fractal foundations.
